Short answer
The tracker displays Submetido, Em análise, Para decisão and Concluído. Concluído can mean grant and registration or refusal and archiving.
Read the actual decision and notifications. A portal stage, colour or another applicant’s experience guarantees neither approval nor a completion date.
How can you check a nationality application safely?
Start from the official service page and follow its link to the tracker. Check the domain before entering a code and do not publish it in comments. The access code, case number and submission evidence have different purposes. You need not share a code with this project to understand the instructions or stages: this guide does not inspect individual applications.

Online tracking uses the case code emailed when the case is created. Where a representative acts, IRN may send the code directly to them.
What do Submetido, Em análise, Para decisão and Concluído mean?
Read the stage description and related notifications rather than following a colour alone. A stage can involve document checks or external enquiries without supplying a public completion date. The table explains the official labels. A stage change is not a promise of passport issue, and another application’s duration is not a reliable countdown for your own case or a substitute for an individual notice.

What if the code is missing or the email never arrived?
First check whether a representative received the code and verify the contacts used for the application. To recover it, follow the official channel and prepare the requested identification. Restoring access enables tracking; it is not an urgency request or a favourable decision. Do not pay somebody solely because they promise that possession of the code can unlock or accelerate approval.

A lost code can be requested at a nationality counter or through Linha Registos with the case number and identification. Tracking and requesting the code are free.
The service does not cover every procedure. Before assuming refusal or a lost application, read its exclusions and identify the route actually submitted. Birth registration or a specified historical process may require another enquiry route. Retain the original submission evidence and describe the tracking problem rather than creating a second nationality application as a precaution without checking the position first.
Confirmed by official source
Online tracking excludes some procedures, including attribution through civil birth registration and specified historical transcription or late-registration cases.
Illustrative scenario: the tracker now says Concluído
Suppose the final stage appears. Read the decision and establish what was registered rather than automatically announcing approval. Preserve a complete notification and receipt date where relevant. This editorial example predicts no outcome. Questions about a decision’s substance need separate assessment, particularly if the notice specifies a period for action. The broad stage label cannot replace the document that actually explains the result.
A tracking checklist without invented forecasts
Keep the reference, submission evidence, contacts and received communications. Record what was requested and how you responded. Separate official information from estimates or other applicants’ stories. Repeated checking does not demonstrate faster processing. For a concrete issue, describe the stage and relevant message to the responsible service through the appropriate channel, avoiding unnecessary personal-document uploads merely to ask a general question.
When asking for clarification, identify the case number and the uncertainty about the displayed stage without sharing the access code publicly. Keep the reply and date. An old screenshot may no longer reflect the current portal information; consult the official service again before making a decision based only on that image.
Official links: tracking and application preparation
The tracking page explains codes, stages, exclusions and current contacts. The submission page helps distinguish preparation, delivery and monitoring. We provide neither a guaranteed calendar nor a parallel tool collecting access codes. For legal questions about your route, return to its specific guide and governing act rather than trying to infer eligibility or approval from a position displayed in the tracking interface.
Official sources support the stated legal, language and certification facts. Plans, examples and checklists are independent editorial suggestions, not instructions from an authority.
